Creamy Carbornara Pasta Rice

Made this for my family last night using carbonara pasta cream. Hubby and sons liked this recipe, very easy and very tasty.

A lovely, creamy version of well known favorite.

Ingredients :
2.5 cups rice (for 4person)
2 tablespoon Olive oil
1 onion chopped
2 clove garlic chopped
1 can button mushrooms or shitake
200g honey baked ham
1 cup carbonara pasta cream

Methods:
Heat oil in a large frying pan, saute onion and garlic until fragrance.

Add ham, cooked until beginning to brown, stir in mushrooms, cook for 1 to 2mins.

Add in rice and blend in a quater cup cream an half cup water, stir n bring to the boil and reduce heat, simmer until the cream is thicken.

Blend in the balance 3/4 cream and stir constantly, simmer until the rice is cooked. 

Sprinkle black pepper and blend in chedder cheese (this is optional) ,stir and simmer for another 30 seconds .

Stir through cooked pasta rice and serve!
