3-ingredients mashed potato 'GNOCCHI '

Make this delicious dish at home with just 3 ingredients. Homemade mashed potato gnocchi is the best.

ingredients
2pounds cooked potatoes
1egg yolk
1cup plain flour more flour for dusting cook

Add salt to make the water taste salty. Cook cube potatoes uncovered until potatoes are tender all the way through about 15 to 20mins after the water has come to boil. Drain and let cool slightly. Once they are cool enough to handle but still warm, mash with a potato masher or a fork . Season with salt . Continue mashing until smooth. Then add to a sieve and push the potato with a wooden spoon. This will remove any lumps. Now sprinkle half of the flour on the clean working surface. And transfer the potato over the flour and spread evenly. Now sprinkle remaining flour over the potato. And make a well in the center and add in an egg yolk , then break it with an index finger and make circle. And start kneading . It should form a slightly dough. If it's too sticky add flour a little more. Then roll out in half inch thick with a roller. And cut in ribbons with a knife or cutter .  Roll a ribbon into a rope . Then cut the rope into 1 inch lengths. Dust with flour on a tray roll each piece into a ball and arrange the potato on the tray. Then lightly push a potato on the back of a fork to make a ridge pattern. Repeat with remaining potato.

In a medium pan of generously salted boiling water, Add gnocchi. Cook until they rise to the surface. Cook them on the surface for additional 30seconds. Transfer to a dish . The gnocchi will get hard as they cool. Sprinke pepper and cheese powder . Bon appetit! I love my light fluffy and delicate gnocchi! And i'm making for another batch!
