3 Ingredients Traditional Scottish Biscuits

A treat with afternoon coffee, buttery traditional family shortbread cookies are wonderful and just right for dipping in a creamy chocolate sauce . Yummy !!! The taste and texture were quite amazing . My family especially my sis love it so much, and she asked for the recipes , my dad and brother adore this cookies too ! It is tender and crumbly , best for christmas party and family gathering , you don't have to buy salty scottish tradition anymore. Just use this recipe for christmas gathering.

Ingredients

1cup salted butter (if you use unsalted butter, add in 1tsp salt)

half cup confectioner sugar or icing sugar

2 3/4 cup plain flour

In a mixing bowl, add softened salted butter and whisk to make butter pomade. Sift in confectioner sugar and whisk until fluffy and homogeneously combined. Sift in flour and fold to combine. When the mixture looks like sands, transfer to working surface and fragres once. Knead as little as possible to make tender shortbread. Then form a ball and flatten a little. Chill in the fridge for one to two hour to relax the flour in the dough. Out of the fridge roll the dough until half inch thick. Then cut the dough with pastry scraper. You can cut in wedges if you want all the cookies to be in the same shape. Pierce with a fork to prevent bubbling and help cookies bake evenly. Bake 150c for 40- 45mins. Or until light golden brown. Out of oven cut the cookies again and let cool on the pan.
