老黄瓜肉碎红枣汤

上周末,煮了一锅很够火又够味的老黄瓜清热汤!

This is one of the soup that i cook quite often. Simply because it's easy and my hubby loves it. 老黄瓜 , literally translated as 'old yellow cucumber' . Old cucumber is actually natured cucumber, hence its brown in color, my dad told me that old cucumber is a cooking food. And we consume it to counter the 'heat' in our body. Not only that, it is good for our skin and helps prevent aging too. Especially for the ladies. GOOD FOR SKIN! And its high in dietary fiber, calcium, iron and rich in vitamin A, B6, and C .

There's no special skills or particular tricks to cook this. As long as your ingredients are fresh, you are the chef ! Haha 。。。。

Ingredients - 

1 medium size old cucumber ,
1.5 litres of water ,
15red dates,
1clove garlic,
Some wolfberry ,
200g lean meat (minced)
salt to taste.  .

Scrub the skin of the cucumber, clean and cut it in pieces, remove the seeds

In a pot ,add all ingredients and bring to boil , add mince meat and simmer the soup over low heat for about 40mins.

Season to taste with salt.
